Chemical Application by Black Dog Spraying

Mott Grain takes a lot of pride in our custom ag application business. Therefore we have sold our chemical application business to Mike Hertz. He is a certified chemical applicator of both liquid chemicals and dry fertilizer. Mike is a certified custom applicator who is second to none when it comes to a professional applicator. His sprayer is equipped with GPS, rate controller, auto-steer and field mapping. Mike will work to do things right.

Dry Fertilizer Spreading

Our 8104 Terragator Spreader is equipped with GPS and field mapping and we also have the ability to apply dry fertilizer by variable rate and provide variable rate maps.

Aerial Application

We have access to Aerial Applicators through Wilbur-Ellis Company. We have used these planes in the past and they have been a huge asset to our business. So if you need any fungicide or insecticide applications please give us a call. These big "Air Tractors" can cover a lot of ground in short period of time.

Seed Treatment

Mott Grain does on-site seed treating. We can apply insecticides, fungicides and fertilizer micro packages to grains such as wheat, barley, peas and flax. Our treater is capable of treating 800 bushels/hour. We are proud to be using Charter seed treatment for our fungicide and Axcess for our insecticide. If you don't enjoy treating your seed, give us a call and we will treat it for you.

Noxious Weed Spraying

Brian is our noxious weed sprayer manager. Contact Brian, DJ, or Rick to get an answer for all of your noxious weed questions. Mott Grain has invested in equipment to take care of all your noxious weed spraying. We feel it is very important to do our part in controlling these problem weeds. We are capable of spraying your pastures, creek banks and CRP. Our sprayer is equipped with a rate controller, GPS and spot and field mapping. Field Scouting At Mott Grain and Agronomy our field scouting is typically done before or after hours, this gives us more time to spend with our customers during the day. We do field scouting during the day when we are looking for something specific or if mornings and evenings aren't ideal for scouting. We usually scout every field before we custom apply any product and we do a follow up afterwards. When field scouting we will inform our customers if we are noticing something that they should be aware of. Field scouting is something we look forward to everyday, it gives us a chance to watch how our American Farmers grow better and stronger crops.
